Study on harmonic resonance mechanism and its suppression method in isolated network system

Harmonic current resonance is easy to appear in the isolated network system with non-linear load. This paper analyzes the general structure and the frequency characteristics of the isolated network with non-linear load, and studies the harmonic resonance mechanism. Because of the regulation characteristics of the generator speed regulation system, the effect of optimizing the parameter method of governor is not good. According the mechanism of the harmonic resonance, this paper proposes a method of harmonic resonance suppression by improving system capacity, controlling of speed of load increasing and optimizing filter parameters, which has the advantages of being simple and low-cost. The correctness of the harmonic resonance mechanism in the isolated network and the effectiveness of the suppression strategy have been verified by experiments.
