Research on VIENNA rectifier based on active disturbance rejection control

The VIENNA rectifier has the advantages of low voltage stress, high switching frequency, low input current harmonic content and high power factor. The traditional proportional integral controller has the problems of slow dynamic response and poor anti-interference performance due to the sudden change of load. In this paper, the linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) technology was applied to the voltage outer loop control of the VIENNA rectifier. The principle of LADRC is thoroughly analyzed. Then the tracking differentiator, the extended state observer and the linear state error feedback control law were designed. Meanwhile, considering the problem of unbalanced output voltage on DC side, the midpoint potential factor was introduced to control the balance of midpoint voltage. The simulation and experimental results verified that VIENNA rectifier with the LADRC technology, DC side output voltage balance, has better anti-interference performance and dynamic and static characteristics.
