Analysis of power factor and reactive power measured in industrial environment with distributed generation

The article aims to the knowledge about the Brazilian standards mainly around the power factor. Complementary it is exposed how contradictory that standards can be regarding to reactive power assessment and billing process. In that way, the paper shows numerical examples and laboratorial experiments looking for the behavior of power factor with and without distributed generation connection.
