Modeling and simulation of reclosers of real distribution feeder using software ATP

This work performs the modeling and simulation in the software ATP (Alternative Transient Program) of the essential components of a distribution network, such as power lines, transformers, buses, switches and loads, based on technical data of an actual distribution feeder provided by Eletrobras Distribuicao Piaui. In the aspect of overcurrent protection of the feeder, the reclosers were developed and implemented with the support of the MODELS language and the ATP TACS routine. Rated current and short-circuit tests were performed on the medium-voltage side of the transformers to assist in the protection settings. To verify the validity of the model, real and simulated current values were compared and the performance of the reclosers was checked for the permanent and transient faults of the single-phase, biphasic and three-phase types injected along the feeder.
