Development of an electric vehicle charging station

Photovoltaic modules have become an option for renewable energy source in the context of household and commercial applications. EVs and PHEVs present themselves on the market not only as a technology for reduction of polluting gases, but also as a way of improving energy efficiency. By linking together the technologies of both solar panels and EVs, it becomes possible to interact with the energy grid as a charging source. This paper focuses on developing an EV Photovoltaic charging station. This charging station is developed at the Solar Laboratory (LABSOLAR) from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), and its purpose is to charge the Carryall 6 EVs which are used at UFJF. The experimental data in this work is presented as product validation.
