PSO based CCII PID controller for a continuous stirred tank reactor system

The paper here aims on designing of a controller (a PID controller) by using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique. This approach is seen to have superior features, better computational efficiencies compared to that of the conventional methods. It is also supposed to have improved speed loop responses and reduced steady state errors. Here we are working on designing of a controller for a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) system, which is a chemical reactor system with non-linear characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to design a controller using current mode devices to bring about stabilization. The voltage mode designs are already present widely, but these current mode devices again add a boon to their control mechanism.
