Data analytics for service and operation management improvement in medical equipment industry

The medical equipment industry in Thailand had been growing for decades due to increasing demand from aging society and patients from medical hubs and health-wellness centers. Many medical equipment manufacturers and producers were facing with competition from both domestic and international suppliers. The need to continuously provide service and operation management with stable processes became challenges facing medical equipment providers. The emerging technology, such as, data analytics were used to provide insight and intelligent information for management to make decision in managing and sustaining the business. The objective of this study was to study the benefits of the implementation of data analytics for stability and continuity of service and operation management improvement in medical equipment industry. The qualitative research methodology using case study approach and descriptive data analysis in selected medical equipment provider-company in medical equipment industry was used in this study. The results and findings with recommendations and limitation were summarized and presented in this paper.
