Applying GIS and multilayered interactive cellular automata to high-speed train control system modeling

China high-speed train control system is a safety-critical system which consists of computer, communication and control. Efficient high-speed train control system modeling, verification and testing remains the current challenge for both academia and industry. This paper presents a visual modeling method based on GIS and the multilayered interactive cellular automata. GIS is responsible for displaying the operational scenarios of train control system; The multilayered interactive cellular automata is responsible for layered modeling train control system; The two parts interact with each other to realize the dynamic autonomy and visualization of the model. Compared with the existing methods, this modeling method is simpler, more intuitive, and has better expansibility, autonomy, visibility, inheritance and reusability. The constructed model can better reflect the characteristics of train control system and realize the dynamic description.
