A new generalized cascaded multilevel structure for single phase H bridge inverter

Diode clamped and cascaded H-bridge MLI's are more desirable in medium to high power handling due to enriched performance. On view of these cascaded MLI is favored due to its features such as modular structure, flexibility and optimized circuit layout. The main challenging aspects of CMLI are to diminish the total number of components, total cost and size of inverter. In this a simple essential unit is proposed for MLI, to realize more levels in the output through fewer numbers of switches. This topography is most efficient for high power appliances due to reduced switching losses. This topography effortlessly extended to “m” levels by simply adding basic units in series. But this proposed unit can generate only positive voltage levels. For achieving polarities +Vdc and -Vdc an H-bridge circuit is used. Proposed topography necessitate fewer no of switches than all conventional topologies published in literature Then proposed model is best in terms reduction in power switches and control circuits. The concert of prospective method is agreed through MATLAB/ SIMULINK.
