Integrated design application of lightning protection system in substation

Direct strokes from lightning can damage substation equipment and bus Operation. To protect the equipment, substation engineers can install direct stroke lightning shielding. This paper is related to providing lightning protection of Substation. This paper also includes comparison of two different lightning protection method in Substation which is applied in two different methods. In first Lightning Protection System, design engineering is done by the convectional lightning spikes with Razevig Method in a 220/6.9 kV Substation. In Second, design engineering is done by an Early Streamer Emission concept with Rolling Sphere Method in a 220/6.9 kV Substation.
