Artificial mountain ape optimization algorithm for maximum power point tracking under partial shading condition

This paper introduces an artificial mountain ape optimization (A²MO) technique to track maximum power point in all the environmental conditions. This algorithm is able to locate global maximum power point over so many local maximum power points during partial shading conditions. It is very necessary to operate photovoltaic panel at maximum power point during any environmental condition. The proposed A²MO algorithm is simulated under MATLAB/SIMULINK environment for only one shading pattern. The results are compared with other two swarm intelligence based techniques ABC and PSO which strongly supports that the A²MO algorithm is best and superior amongst all existing MPPT techniques.
