DAQ-based measurements for ferromagnetic coil modeling using fractional derivatives

The paper concerns a measurement setup prepared for the collection of measurements of coils with ferromagnetic cores. The measurements are collected through a DAQ (data acquisition) device, while the input voltage is supplied by an arbitrary function generator. All this is controlled from a computer running a special program written in C#. The program applies an algorithm which allows to obtain the impedance for each selected frequency. Three ferromagnetic coils are studied, for which the frequency characteristics are obtained. For the studied coils - simple models are proposed, which consist of fractional circuit elements (fractional coils and fractional capacitors).
