On the Effects of Transmitter Induced Channel Correlation in Broadband WDM Transmission

We investigate how transmitter-induced correlations impact channel performance in experiments and simulations. We observe performance impacts ranging from ∼0.7 dB after 600 km to be negligible beyond 4,000 km over 9.74 THz bandwidth. Correlation impact on NLC is discussed.
