On-chip Continuously Tunable Optical Delay Line Based on Cascaded Mach-Zehnder Interferometers

We propose a novel integrated optical delay line based on cascaded Mach-Zehnder interferometers. It allows a continuous delay tuning, can achieve wideband operation and is experimentally demonstrated with a delay up to 125 ps.
