A noncontact system for monitoring of in-service condition of helicopter main rotor blades

This study discusses development of a method and a device to detect deformations of helicopter main rotor blades. It reviews general principles the proposed method and the device are based on as well as service conditions. A test bench for practical optimization of the method and the device is described. Conclusions on applicability and further development of the method are drawn.
