Design of adaptive notch filter

Power line communication is an integral part of smart grid. With the help of power line communication it is possible to send the data and electrical power using same power line. But there are many noises in power line communication. This paper describes an adaptive notch filter that can be used in power line communication. A combination of sinusoidal signal and a saw tooth signal was considered in this paper. After that the combined signal was passed through the adaptive notch filter. It was observed that the signal which is received at the receiving end is exactly same as the signal sent at the sending end.
