Analysis of the safety systems damage on the example of a suburban transport enterprise

The article presents the analyses related to the safety systems repairs in the vehicles belonging to a suburban transport enterprise. These systems include: steering system, braking system and suspension. The group under analysis included 2 different brands of suburban buses. The Shapiro-Wilk tests were conducted in order to verify the compliance with normal distribution. Probability density functions adjusted to empirical data were determined by using the processes analysis module in the Statistica program. The next step included the analysis of variance. Due to the fact that the classical assumptions of the distribution variance analysis were not met, non-parametric analysis of variance with the use of Kruskal-Wallis test was performed. This paper presents statistical data concerning the number of road traffic accidents that were caused by the vehicles technical malfunctioning, including failures and damages of the braking system, steering system and suspension.
