Performance estimations of switched reluctance motor considered with magnetic saturation

Switched reluctance motor (SRM), using reluctance torque that comes from the change of reluctance of magnetic circuit is a kind of synchronous motors [1]. [2]. Its high reliability and simple construction due to tie absence of magnets, rotor conductors and brushes, and high system efficiency over a wide range of speed makes the SRM drives an interesting alternative to compete with brushless DC motor and induction motor drives.
