Voltage optimization for distribution power system using alternative techniques

There are many technique has been using to improve the distribution system performance, in these paper capacitor placement and network reconfiguration are studied to obtain the best solutions to overcome all challenges that reduce the reliability of distribution systems, delivering power with minimum loss and acceptable voltage limit are the main goals. The proposed algorithm is CYME 7.1 software which applied on IEEE 33-bus radial distribution network, adopted algorithm has practically results, because all operation conditions have been taken in account(temperature, loading period ,etc.), for five scenarios, starting from scenario-1(base case) and ending to scenario -5 (simultaneous network reconfiguration and capacitor bank). From the simulation results and graph in the best method used to achieve the goals previously announced. The obtained results show that the proposed algorithm gives best accuracy when compared with (FUZZY, GENATIC and IBPSO) algorithms.
