Abstract:

The Internet of Things (IoT) as a driving force for future business needs massive capabilities of sensing, computing, and transmitting with analysis, learning, and decision-making. The IoT hardware/software includes key functions (i.e. sensing, computing and transmitting) in hierachical systems with wide range of performance and low power. Thus, state-of-art foundry needs to provide balanced and wide portfolio of technologies on logic platforms (i.e. CMOS, SOI, FinFET, IPs) with various specialty functions (e.g. NVM, power management, CIS, MEMS, RF) and capability of 3DIC/SiP for future smart devices in IoT era.
