Extended Linear Interpolation/Extrapolation Procedure for Accurate and Versatile Translation of the I-V Curves of PV Cells and Modules

Modification of the procedure of linear interpolation method is investigated, in order to improve its precision and applicability to practical I-V curve translation of PV devices for irradiance and temperature. The present study comprises of modified and extended choice of data on the I-V curves for the linear interpolation. It is demonstrated that the present procedure is especially useful for the translation of I-V curves whose voltage ranges are not wide enough, the experimental noise is relatively large, or extrapolative translation is required, which are important for practical translation.
