Abstract:

There have been few technical advances that add to wound healing in the past. It has been considered as a complicated issue to study as a result of its subjectivity, assorted qualities and complexity in the wound healing process and differing qualities of patients. The applications of PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) radiations to the target tissue with the help of coil cause physiological changes at the cellular site and thereby facilitate the process of wound healing. In PEMF device the various combination of frequency, waveform and amplitude have different effects upon biological tissues. The efficacy of a PEMF device is highly dependent on waveforms that are used in combination with the pulsing frequencies. Therefore there is need of proper signal selection for generating PEMF. The current study has been conducted to show an optimization of signal based on frequency and duty cycle for magnetic stimulation. The work presented here consists of signal generator design and implementation of the design using hardware approach and simulation.
