DC bus voltage instability detection and stabilization under constant power load variation

This paper deals with a fast and simple DC bus voltage instability detection and stabilization method during constant power load variation and a rapid stabilization via load side control. The proposed method computes the DC bus residual voltage in order to evaluate the DC bus instability which results in DC bus oscillation appearance and then apply a stabilization gain accordingly. The study is carried out on a portion of a DC microgrid consisting in one source and one constant power load.
