Didactic System of Supervision and Data Acquisition to Evaluate the Performance of Hydraulic Pumps

The automation in equipment has been revolutionizing a lot every day, improving not only the conditions in the working environment, but also the cost benefit that each machine can offer. With this, the objective of this work is to develop a supervision system for a test rig of hydraulic pumps with didactic purposes. In order to do so, it will be taking into account the physical quantities such as flow [Q], pressure variation [Δp] and temperature variation [T]. For the development of the acquisition and supervision system, an NI USB-6002 board was used communicating with LabVIEW software, by reading transducers installed along the test circuit. The proposal was to develop an automated test didactic system in order to present the volumetric efficiency results for an external gear type pump. In the end, the results demonstrated that the physical structure as well as the software developed will be of extreme importance in the automation disciplines as well as hydraulic systems, allowing the academics to have a more critical view on the behavior of hydraulic pumps in conditions operation.
