Neural network based energy conservation for wireless sensor network

One of the challenge of today's Wireless Networks involves parameter optimization. However the task is hard due to vibrant and changing environmental conditions. There is widespread leaning in the recent networks that includes artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, to manage design and complexity. Neural networks (NN) are one of the AI techniques well known for their outstanding simplification and flexibility. NNs are applied even in wireless networks. NNs are particularly popular classification, learning and optimization. Routing protocols based on clustering are recognized methods to extend lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN). This work presents an algorithm designed as energy oriented clustering protocol that works on concept of self organizing map. In this algorithm factors like energy level and coordinate of sensor node are considered and based on these parameters every node is clustered. The proposed algorithm creates energy reasonable clusters and constantly distribute Energy Consumption. Simulation outcomes are compared with earlier protocol Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) prove that proposed algorithm is capable to increase lifespan of network.
