Analysis of single phase matrix converter with regenerative capabilities of Single phase induction motor

This paper presents the analysis of matrix converter in 1φ with regenerative operation of single phase induction motor. In the proposed topology, set of eight antiparallel power switches with diode are driven as an inverter, converter for motoring & regenerative operation. The Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) is a method that calculates the switch duty ratio to control the output voltage successfully. The mechanical torque of the motor is control by the pulse generator with the constant value. The motor feedback energy is stored by the battery with help of matrix converter. The Matrix Converter designed in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results like Motoring & Regenerative, voltage, current relation are presented in this paper.
