Nuclear magnetic resonance gyroscope: Developing a primary rotation sensor

Information on the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Gyro (NMRG) under development by Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation in collaboration with Freedom Photonics is presented. The basics principles of Operation are summarized and the current state of development is discussed. Many details have been left out for the sake of brevity, but the principles are still complete. Recently encountered fabrication and performance challenges are also discussed.
