J.R. Richardson was a track-and-field high jumper in high school. But he didn't excel at the field event until he received his engineering degree in college and learned the physics behind how to get over the high-jump bar. Years later, he took the engineering skills he learned in college and decided to give back to his community by coaching track and field at a local high school.
