About features of evaluation of the quality of generation and signal processing at stage transformations in wiring and optical communication systems

In modern wireline and optical communication systems, issues of assessing the quality of signal transmission are very relevant. To assess this, the article investigates the influence of coding methods on the quality of received signals, taking into account the features of signal transformations in various metric spaces, in particular, for analog-digital transformations. Analytical expressions are obtained showing the limits of achievable quality depending on the established risk indicators and the type of errors occurring in the digital signal.
