MoS2-based imaging sensor for visible and near infrared

An imaging sensor based on MoS
₂
-on-aluminium for visible and near infrared is proposed. Although the imaging sensitivity of the proposed sensor is lower than that of graphene-based sensor in the visible range, it exhibits a better performance in the near infrared region. The effect of multiple MoS
₂
layers and sensing layer refractive index on the sensor sensitivity is also investigated.
