Fuzzy appraisal approach for maintainability assesment of software system

Quality is a very important factor for developed software systems. The quality itself depends on various important attributes. Out of these, software system Maintainability is thought to be the most costly and time consuming stage in the software development life cycle as it uses maximum resources and effort which are allocated to the whole process. Maintainability, being an imperative quality property in practically every quality model, is chosen to be the key focus of this paper. This research paper proposes a model for maintainability in accordance to it's fuzzy aspects. Fuzzy logic deals with technical uncertainty using Fuzzy Mathematics and is known to handle complex problems; use of AHP technique has been implemented. An Object-oriented system has been used as an example.
