Telecommunication revolution changed life

19th century saw the introduction of wireless communication technology. The prime focus of this technology is to transmit information between different devices. This technology used infra red, radio frequency, satellite waves for transmission. In the recent developments, blue tooth technology which uses high speed and low power technology to link various devices within a range of 10 meters. Zigbee wireless technology is another where it uses high data rate communications which is currently used for sensors and control devices. In this talk an attempt is made to discuss about zigbee wireless technology, architecture and application in real time. Home and industrial automation, smart grid monitoring and smart tracking are some of the few area where they have made a huge impact.
