Quadratic SEPIC derived hybrid output converter for photo-voltaic applications

This paper is intended to provide technology to house where power grid supply may not be available due to any reasons. A hybrid output converter rated for less than 2kWs is to be designed to meet the requirement of modern electrical loads (ac and dc loads) in domestic applications. Proposed converter is derived from the Quadratic SEPIC converter, which offers single-stage conversion, high voltage gain, inherent shoot-through protection capability, and continuous input current and decoupled control of each output (dc and ac). In present study, a Simulink model of proposed converter is developed using SIMULINK and PowerSystem toolbox of MATLAB software and its performances are investigated under steady state and transient condition with 48V input dc voltage and outputs voltages: 150V, DC and 35V, 50Hz ac.
