Cost minimization in multi wind farm power dispatch

Harnessing wind power, a widely used renewable sources across the world, faces inherent difficulty in predicting the uncertain wind speed due to changing climatic conditions. A multi-farm wind dispatch management system is provided including control of power dispatch among various farms located near each other and connected to the same grid. The system presented includes the individual wind farm dispatch management system and master dispatch management that enables all the farms to reduce the penalty cost due to power dispatch shortfall and thereby increase profitability.
