BiDuR: Big data analysis in UAF using R-voting system

In this paper how to manage Big Data for a windows application hosted in a cloud environment using Aneka tool is analyzed. Big data refers to a complex and huge amount of unorganized, poorly structured or loosely structured data, which legacy RDBMS System are unable to handle and process at a rate which today's OLTP System requires. The paper showcase a Big Data application designed for windows environment coined as “Remote Electronic Voting System (REVS)” which can be managed using various Big Data tools like MongoDB, Hadoop et al. For REVS, MongoDB has been used for storage of records. Since in a democratic country like India Universal Adult Franchise involves electing the public representative and it is considered as a fundamental right of every citizen which may not be feasible if a voter is not physically present in his constituency to cast his vote on the day of voting so REVS System has been designed which facilitates the casting of votes remotely. The application had been designed using distributed computing concepts and is hosted on Cloud using an Application Platform as a Service named Aneka.
