Surface energy effect on free vibration behavior of the piezoelectric cylindrical nanoshell

In this paper, free vibration analysis of the piezoelectric cylindrical nanoshell is studied based on electro-elastic surface/interface theory. Some fundamental formulations are first given to obtain the total energy of the nanoshell. Then the natural frequency is derived from Rayleigh-Ritz energy method. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to analyze the effect of surface parameter and applied voltage on the natural frequency of the piezoelectric nanoshell.
