Article on IEEE EMC Society Administrative Committee Minutes

The IEEE EMC Society started in 1957 as the Professional Group on Radio Frequency Interference (PGRFI) of the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE). In 1967, it morphed into the IRE Professional Technical Group on RFI followed shortly by a new title the same year: Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Professional Technical Group on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) abbreviated as "PTGEMC." In 1964, it changed its name to IEEE EMC Group (IEEE EMCG) which it kept until 1978 when it changed to its current name, IEEE EMC Society (IEEE EMCS).
