A hybrid approach for cost effective routing for WSNs using PSO and GSO algorithms

In today's wireless technology, coverage area, energy consumption, network lifetime, the number of hops and convergence rate are the major parameters to design any kind of the algorithm for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). A few optimization algorithms obtained for the past few years for WSNs clustering and routing algorithms. These algorithms were less convergence rate and coverage area. The PSO-GSO-WSN method is developed by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with K-means for clustering and Glowworm Swarm Optimization (GSO) algorithm for routing of WSN. This method improves the network life time, alive nodes, throughput, total packet send as well as minimizes the dead nodes and energy utilization of the network.
