A 16-Gb/s injection-locked CDR in embedded clock receiver

This paper presents a 16-Gb/s clock and data recovery circuit incorporates injection-locking technique to achieve high-speed operation with low power. The proposed receiver achieves fast locking and low power. This circuit achieves CDR bandwidth of 220MHz and locking range of 150MHz. Frequency acquisition time is less than 60ns. The power consumption is 1.65mW/Gb/s from a 1.2-V supply.
