Use of Terrestrial Photos in 3D Reconstruction of Urban Areas

Computational tools are collaborating on the development of urban planning through 2D mapping and geographic information in a way that they became a fundamental role in supporting decision-making. Mapping and geographic information are present in a wide range of 2D information, as well as ample opportunity to get them. However, some researchers have shown the need for 3D information to improve urban planning. Thus, this work demonstrates how to perform 3D reconstruction of urban areas using terrestrial photographs through digital processing techniques and computer vision to provide an additional tool for urban planning.
