Impact of load diversity on DR allocation and operation

Electric power supply system has devoted feeders to allocate different type of customers each having characteristic load profile. n this context, the load demand among distribution buses don't amendment during a similar manner rather a certain load diversity exists that plays crucial role whereas modelling load profile of the system. Any inaccuracy in load profile modelling may result in counterproductive solution while solving distribution system optimization problems. This paper investigates the impact of ignoring load diversity among distribution buses when solving optimal allocation and operation problem of distributed resources (DR). The 33-bus distribution system is used for application of proposed method and to highlight the impacts of ignoring load diversity.
