Fast reading and display of remote sensing image based on Qt and GDAL

With the rapid development and increasing application of remote sensing technology, this paper presents a method of fast reading and display of remote sensing image based on Qt and GDAL. This method uses Qt as the development tool, which is a cross-platform graphical user interface framework, and utilizes GDAL library to construct image pyramid and read the image into memory files. Furthermore, an optimization is made by introducing block reading and cache technology. This method can achieve fast display of large-capacity remote sensing images in different operating systems, as well as smooth zooming and roaming operations on remote sensing images.
