Review on the recent development of the power converters for electric vehicle

The Major portion of the air pollution is due to the emission of the CO2 by the Internal Combustion engine present in the Vehicles. To minimize the air pollution and to improve the transportation efficiency, the electric vehicles are preferred. The propulsion system present in the electric vehicle should be improved to get the smooth operation of the system. It is based on the quality of the input and the output of the drive. To improve the performance of the drive there are different power electronic converters and controllers have been used and proposed by the researchers. This work gives the clear idea of the various power converters used for the electric vehicle propulsion system to improve the quality of the input and the output.
