EKQI — An enhancement of KDQI, incorporating mobile web access

For any business today web presence is a distinguishing potency. Web sites are among the most spectacular interfaces customers usually interact with. However, on contrary to B2C, this is the only interface the customer can interact with for an IEDW (Information or Entertainment Driven websites). Business spends a considerable amount in development and later on managing these websites. Despite of the fact, how much the business is satisfied with its website, it is the customer who will eventually assess whether the content and context is appealing & informative or bizarre & confusing. A web metric KDQI (Kano's Domain Quality Index) developed by Rizwan et. al. [1], is used in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of a web site especially for IEDW, with respect to meeting the users' expectations. The famous two factor Herzberg's theory was enhanced by Dr. Kano (Quality management researcher) into Basic, Performance and Exciting Quality. Moreover, these qualities also upgrade into their next level with passage of time. Dr. Kano's model was applied in a research for identifying web features from a cluster of website domains. This study employs the basic of Dr. Kano Noriaki's model to device a web metric for identifying unique features on a cluster of various websites. The proposed metric is the evaluation of already existing KDQI pertaining the needs of mobile device users. Moreover, the web metrics limits the impact of navigation pages and tries to average the impact of content pages as suggested by Stolz [2].
