Variants of deployment the high performance computing in clouds

Is high-performance computing can move to a HPC cloud? The authors put the following variants of system software deployment: from hard disk, from network, and booting a platform as a virtual machine under control of various hypervisors (ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V), to the test. Both platform deployment time for each deployment variant and parallel benchmarks (Linpack and NAS Parallel Benchmarks) execution time on a deployed platform were measured.
