Multi-stage gear vibration active control based on AFPID control

Aiming at the multi-harmonic complex vibration generated by the dynamic excitation of the gear drive system, an active vibration control strategy with piezoelectric actuators mounted on the low-speed shaft and the high-speed shaft was designed. An adaptive fuzzy PID control combined with traditional PID control and adaptive algorithm was proposed to suppress the multiple harmonic vibrations with higher energy. The virtual prototype of the gear transmission system was established as a controlled object submodule on the ADAMS platform. Then the system was co-simulated by loading control algorithm on the MATLAB/Simulink platform. The experiments performed show the vibrations were attenuated at meshing frequency and harmonic frequencies and the adaptive fuzzy PID control algorithm achieved better control performance than the classical PID control at the different rotational speeds.
