Co-simulation study on vibration control of multistage gear transmission system based on multiple control algorithms

In order to suppress the multi-harmonic vibrations of multistage gear transmission system caused by meshing excitations, a new active vibration control structure of multistage gear transmission with a pair of built-in piezoelectric actuators was designed, PID algorithm, fuzzy control algorithm and FxLMS algorithm were employed to control the fundamental and harmonic vibrations. The virtual prototype was constructed in ADAMS firstly, and the three algorithm custom modules were edited in Simulink. Then the simulation block diagram for active vibration control was established in Simulink to analyze the ADAMS and MATLAB co-simulation eventually. The simulation results show that: the three control algorithms can suppress the mutli-harmonic vibration of the gear transmission system successfully, and the control effect of FxLMS algorithm better than others even up to 12dB.
