Designing a compact MIMO antenna by inserting SRR element to improve the performance

In this paper, a 2 element MIMO antenna is designed with the individual antenna works at frequency 4.5GHz. Here the radiating element designed to look like a T shaped antenna with main arm 1cm width and 2cm length and supported by a short arm 0.3cm width and 0.7cm long. Initially the single antenna is simulated to find the operating frequency than by using the 2 same elements opposite to each other like symmetric way. the antenna performance is improved by placing the SRR element in between them. This SRR element will help in isolating the mutual coupling effect to improve the overall performance of the antenna. The comparative analysis of the antenna performance with and without the Split ring resonator structures is presented.
