Diffusion magnetic resonance imaging for brain tumor detection with segmentation active contour

Evaluating the usage of classification method by semi-automatic method for determining better target size of brain tumor in tumor therapy planning and also useful significant tumor characteristics before the surgery. The dataset used in this paper includes diffusion MRI images of the brain of 6 patients with brain tumor in modes of T1, T2 and T2 fluid. The recommended method in this article is used for distinguishing the position of tumor in image. One oncologist and one radiologist manually and in a time process plotted 6 patients' images. Average of oncologist's line was assessed and considered as resource lines. Then by using simulation of Snakes method, 4 to 7 points around the edema were chosen and early center was found. Conclusion: This review shows that the Snake method has high capacity in diagnosing the tumor volume and can be a good alternative for handy methods in brain cancer. The aspect of our work innovation is MRI diffusion images.
