Modelling of partial discharge signal and noise interference using LabVIEW

Partial discharge (PD) is one of main factor that contribute towards high voltage insulation degradation. An online monitoring had been proposed for early detection. This contribution helps to recognize partial discharge (PD) in early stage and increase the lifespan of insulation system. This monitoring system can be model by using LabVIEW software. This software can simulate in real-time detection, de-noising and different analysis techniques. However, characteristic of PD and noise interference need to be confirmed to increase the efficiency of the system. In LabVIEW software, PD signal and some noise can be modelled by using the equation. This paper describes the PD signal and noise interference using LabVIEW.
